We work for you, not the cruise lines, resorts, or tour operators. And, we save you time! We get to know your family's travel style, needs, and expectations for each vacation you book through us. We build a line of communication with you and service your trip from when you hire us until your arrival home.
Why do you charge a fee, and what does it include?
We research each trip as if it is our first time exploring your chosen destination, cruise, or tour. We realize there is constant change in the travel world. New resorts, cruise ships, tours, and itineraries become available. We look for what is best for your family within your budget. The fee covers our time researching, creating, and presenting your itinerary. It also covers our time contacting suppliers, booking and servicing your trip, and getting your family ready to travel.
How do you plan trips to places you have never visited?
We network with travel agents across the globe and businesses that provide local expertise for clients. This keeps us connected and current with what is available for clients to help us design the best itinerary for your budget. In addition, our suppliers are carefully vetted through Travel Leaders Network.
What is Travel Leaders Network?
Travel Leaders Network is one of the largest sellers of luxury travel, cruises, and tours in the travel industry. It represents over 5,700 travel agency locations across the United States and Canada.
What if I need to cancel my trip?
We always strongly recommend trip insurance. Knowing that you can cancel or postpone your trip gives you peace of mind. Every supplier has its own cancellation window, policies, and cost. Please keep in mind that trip interruption due to illness or unforeseen circumstances can be very costly, and your domestic insurance plan often does not cover medical care abroad. Also, some countries require proof of medical insurance for travelers entering their country. Please let us know if you have questions about trip insurance.
Where does my money go?
Only your planning fee goes directly to Treasured Stories Travel. When booking your vacation, the information you supply to us through our PCI (Payment Card Industry Security Standard) compliant software goes directly to the vacation vendors (tour company, cruiseline, resort, etc.) They charge your card and provide the receipt with your booking information. For your security, we don't store card information or take card information over the phone, text, or email.
